(I)Product Overview
Ultrafiltration (UF) equipment belongs to pressure driven precision membrane filtration equipment, with ultrafiltration membrane as the core component, which uses different pore sizes to separate impurities from water. The pore size of the ultrafiltration membrane is only 0.01- 0.1 μ m, which can intercept colloids, suspended solids, sediment, rust, algae, bacteria, viruses, large organic compounds, colloidal silica, and flocculent precipitates. Water and small salt ions can pass through the membrane normally.
(II) Equipment features
1. High precision filtration and long-term protection of reverse osmosis membranes. Through fine physical screening, they accurately intercept impurities such as colloids, suspended solids, and bacteria in water that are prone to clogging, stabilize and reduce the SDI value of incoming water, completely solve the problem of RO membrane clogging and pollution, and build the first protective barrier for the back-end water purification system.
2. Anti pollution and durable, with a long-lasting and stable water flow rate. High quality PVDF hollow fiber membrane is used, which has a large water flow capacity and stable performance. It is also resistant to acid and alkali, oxidation, and oil pollution, and is not easily clogged in the face of complex water quality. After cleaning, the filtration performance can be quickly restored, and the equipment has extremely strong durability.
3. Intelligent automatic cleaning, no need for frequent manual maintenance. Equipped with a fully automatic air-water joint flushing function, it automatically flushes and removes pollutants from the film surface at regular intervals. The entire process is automated, eliminating the need for frequent manual cleaning and maintenance, greatly simplifying daily operation and maintenance work.
4. Modular and scalable, low voltage energy-saving and cost-effective standardized module design, flexible adjustment of water production, no need to replace the entire equipment for later expansion, simply add or remove membrane components; Low pressure operation has low energy consumption, concentrated water can be recycled and reused, with dual advantages of energy and water conservation, and high cost-effectiveness.

(III) System composition
1. Preprocessing unit
Function: Remove large particles, colloids, sediment, and residual chlorine, protect the ultrafiltration membrane, and prevent membrane scratching and oxidation.
Raw water tank: stores raw water and buffers fluctuations in incoming water volume
Raw water booster pump: providing pressure for subsequent pretreatment
Multi media filter (quartz sand filter): removes sediment, rust, and suspended solids
Activated carbon filter: adsorbs residual chlorine, organic matter, and strange colors and odors
Security filter (precision filter), usually 5 μ m: intercepts small impurities as the last protection of the ultrafiltration membrane, preventing large particles from entering the membrane components
Optional configuration: dosing device (flocculant, scale inhibitor, oxidant reducing agent)
2. Ultrafiltration host unit (core part)
Ultrafiltration inlet pump: provides working pressure for the ultrafiltration membrane
Ultrafiltration membrane module (core): Hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane, divided into external pressure and internal pressure; Realize solid-liquid separation, intercept colloids, bacteria, suspended solids, and large organic molecules
Membrane frame/membrane shell: fixed ultrafiltration membrane element, integrated pipeline
3. Cleaning unit (essential for ultrafiltration)
After running ultrafiltration for a period of time, the membrane surface will be blocked by pollutants, requiring backwashing and chemical cleaning to restore flux.
Backwash pump: Rinse the membrane fibers in reverse with water to remove surface filter cake contaminants
Chemical cleaning kit (CEB online chemical enhanced backwash/CIP offline chemical cleaning)
Clean pipelines and valves to achieve forward washing, backwashing, chemical enhanced backwashing, and chemical immersion cleaning
4. Water production and post-treatment unit
Production water tank: stores ultrafiltration production water and supplies it to backend processes (such as RO reverse osmosis)
Water production booster pump: delivering water to the rear end reverse osmosis or water consumption point
Optional: Disinfection device (UV sterilization)
5. Electrical and Automation Unit
PLC control cabinet: automatic control of operation, backwashing, and chemical cleaning processes
Pressure transmitter: monitoring of inlet water pressure, production water pressure, and concentrated water pressure
Flow meters: inlet flow rate, product flow rate, concentrate flow rate
Instruments: SDI meter, turbidity meter, monitoring the quality of incoming and produced water
Liquid level sensor: raw water tank and production water tank liquid level linkage pump start stop
